Digital Science Spotlight Event: Bridging the Gender Gap – How Men Can Be Allies for Women in STEM

Join us on the 14th October from 6.30pm at our London HQ for our third Spotlight event, a free evening of talks discussing issues around women in STEM, including pizza, wine, beer and nibbles. This event is part of a series hosted by Digital Science to celebrate Ada Lovelace Day.

Ada Lovelace Day is an international celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths. This year marks the 200th birthday of Ada. As part of last year’s celebrations, October was a very busy month for Digital Science, littered with celebratory blog posts, online events, Google Hangouts and two physical events (you can read a recap here).

This year, Digital Science is proud to be sponsoring Ada Lovelace Day Live! again, this time at Conway Hall on the 13th October. More details about that event can be found here. In the build-up to this event, we will also be featuring a collection of stories from a handful of talented women in STEM.

Hopefully, the event will provide an opportunity to learn from an inspirational panel with a focus on how men and women can support women in STEM roles. It’ll be an open conversation looking at advocates, mentorship and what the future holds. The discussion will also be opened to a floor debate.
