Mathematics and Physics forum: Showcasing Women in Science

School of Mathematics and Physics at Queen’s University Belfast has over 800 students and 130 staff, of which 270 students and 15 members of academic staff are female. The school holds both an Athena SWAN silver award and Juno Champion status. In celebration of Ada Lovelace Day 2015 the first meeting of the Mathematics and Physics forum will be held 2-4pm in the Bell Lecture Theatre.

This forum is an excellent opportunity to get to know the female staff in the school, hear about their experiences as a women in science, to ask questions, share your own thoughts, and to interact with your peers.

Everyone is welcome!

Topics of the forum include:
•    Introduction to Athena SWAN and Juno
•    Introduction to Female Staff
•    Discussions of research paths: For example, should I do a master/PhD?
