Ada Lovelace Day Celebration Denver – Women in STEM

Mix & Mingle with Lightning Talks by local developers discussing their experience getting into the STEM field as a woman and their most influential women in tech.

Ada Lovelace Day is an international celebration of Women in Science and Technology and aims to raise the profile of women in STEM by encouraging people around the world to talk about the women whose work they admire. We will be celebrating with a Mix & Mingle and Lightning Talks where we discuss the most influential tech women in our own lives and our own experiences getting into the field.

Think about the women you know or have heard of in tech/science. We’re not looking for everyone to speak about superstars, just someone whom you admire. Perhaps it’s your colleague who does a really good job, or your mum, or a friend. If you stop and think for a while, we’re sure that somewhere in your past or present you’ll find a woman to speak about on Ada Lovelace Day.

Or think about your own experience getting into the tech/science world as a woman. Think about the accomplishments and achievements you’ve made since the very beginning. We’re sure there are breakthrough moments from your experiences that are valuable and worth sharing with others on this day of celebration.
