STEM Careers in the Jewellery Industry
This poster looks at five different types of STEM career available in the jewellery industry: The Explorer, who finds precious metals and gems; The Processor, who extracts and purifies them; The Materials Scientist, who studies how stones and metals behave; The Quality Controller, who tests gems and precious metals for purity; and The Gemmologist who studies and certifies gems. The aim is to show students that there is much more to STEM than meets the eye, and that they can find STEM careers in unexpected places.
Thanks to Ada Lovelace Day sponsor F Hinds for their help developing this poster.
The Amazingly Enormous Careers Poster
How many different careers become available to graduates of STEM degrees? With real information from graduates in 15 different fields, and nearly 350 different jobs and areas of further study, this poster really drives home the point that STEM opens doors.

Ten Types of Technologist poster
Based on data and research by Stack Overflow, this poster aims to explode the idea that the only people who work in tech are programmers, and that traditionally female-coded roles, such as Teacher, Communicator and Facilitator are ‘not really tech jobs’. The role descriptions are left intentionally general so that students can more easily explore the nuances of different jobs within each category. That also allows teachers, parents and career advisors to talk through the personal attributes that attract students to a particular role type, rather than focus on a narrow set of technical skills which might initially seem intimidating.
Thanks to Stack Overflow for data and design assistance.

Based on research by the Science Council, this poster looks at ten different types of career that scientists can have: The Communicator, Developer, Entrepreneur, Explorer, Investigator, Operational Scientist, Policy Maker, Professional, Regulator, and Teacher. The aim is to show students that there is much more to STEM than the stereotypical lab scientist in a white coat.
