Ada Lovelace Day at University of Birmingham

We would like to invite you to Ada Lovelace Day, October 9, 2018 at University of Birmingham, UK. This independent event is a part of an international celebration of achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Ada Lovelace Day at University of Birmingham will include a number of speakers:

  • Dr Kierann Shah – General Manager, National Space Academy
  • Professor Helen Cooper – Professor of Mass Spectrometry, University of Birmingham
  • Professor Sophia Ananiadou – Chair of Computer Science, University of Manchester
  • Dr Sara Jabbari – Senior Lecturer in Applied Mathematics, University of Birmingham

The speakers will discuss their own research and the importance of women in STEM. The event is free to attend, however please register your interest by emailing Julia Malinowska (JMM732@student.bham.ac.uk)
