Peterborough STEM Festival 2017

Peterborough STEM Festival is celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics inspired by Ada Lovelace Day, a free to attend family-friendly event held in the centre of Peterborough on the 1st October 2017.

Our mission is to provide a day of fun activities to celebrate and to experience the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics – a free event to attend, designed especially for families and young people.

Exciting activities include:

  • Interactive treasure hunt with prizes
  • Hands-on science with CHaOS (handy engineering, prism googles, IR webcams, and rocks and fossils)
  • Minecraft build challenges
  • History of computing and women in computing
  • Raspberry Pi workshops with PetRasJam
  • Become a coding ninja with some professional developers
  • Experience virtual and augmented reality sessions
  • Design and build your own rockets
  • Robotics with the students from GPUTC
  • Forensic science and CSI activities with PRC
  • Experience some engineering activities with the RAF and the British Army
  • Build a cloud with our main sponsors Anglian Water
