[ONLINE] Ada Lovelace Day: Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
12 October 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
FreeWelcome to Digital Transformation UK: Ada Lovelace Day – Overcoming Imposter Syndrome, the latest in our successful series of public meet-ups which we have been hosting since 2018.
Join us on Ada Lovelace day as we explore the topic of imposter syndrome and shine a spotlight on female colleagues at Lloyds Banking Group who are embarking on careers in technology.
The session will begin with Charlotte Wayne, Group Transformation & Technology Operations Director at Lloyds Banking Group, talking about the presence of imposter syndrome and how it can impact us all when building a career in technology.
We will then be joined by a selection of colleagues at the group who will share their career journeys and how they have overcome imposter syndrome along the way.
Who was Ada Lovelace and what is Ada Lovelace day?
Ada Lovelace was a pioneer in the 1800s and credited for being the world’s first computer coder, working on algorithms for Charles Babbage’s Difference Engine. Today there is an alarming difference between the numbers of men and women entering STEM careers. Ada Lovelace Day is an international celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths that aims to encourage and increase the number of women embarking on STEM careers.
We hope you’ll be able to join us.
