Glass Splinters: Women from History Monologue Night
29 May 2022 @ 7:45 pm - 9:30 pm
£10 – £12It has been said that well behaved women seldom make history…
Glass Splinters are delighted to be back at the Pleasance, bringing you more stories from more incredible women. And this time, it’s a double bubble! Saturday is our classic format; a mixture of duologues and scenes showcasing stories of women from history. Our show on Sunday will offer a more intimate glimpse on unearthed stories with a chance to see six new monologues from six new writers. Included is playwright Rebecca Lyon’s piece on Ada Lovelace and the power of the imagination to challenge the patriarchy! Called ‘My Dad the Famous Writer,’ the monologue celebrates the beauty of maths and the continued need to fight for a scientific education. Join us to honour Ada and her fellow pioneers!
