Curiosity Labs–What is DNA?

10 October 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

What is DNA?

DNA science is used every day in our world. Forensic labs test DNA evidence, farmers use genetically modified seeds and doctors target disease treatments using DNA markers. Everyone has heard of it, and everyone has it, but what is it? In this activity students will learn about the structure and function of DNA.

Curiosity Labs is a series sponsored by MilliporeSigma that connects their scientists with Mead Public Library patrons. Attendees will be treated to themed science presentations and will participate in hands-on group experiments.  Open to older children through adult. Attendance is limited to 32 people. Pre-registration is required
