#CIVICWOMEN: From Ada Lovelace to Minerva Tantoco, New York City Chief Technology Officer

13 October 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

CIVIC HALL
156 5th Avenue
New York, NY
6:00PM – 8:00PM EDT

On Tuesday, October 13, we’re honoring women in NYC tech and you’ll want to be part of this first-ever bash at Civic Hall! Why the party with a purpose? We’re feeling festive because it’s Ada Lovelace Day and the first year of Minerva Tantoco as NYC’s first-ever Chief Technology Officer. For the uninitiated, Ada Lovelace is considered by many to be the first modern computer programmer and debugger back in the 1840’s and Minerva Tantoco is our home-grown CTO and one of the biggest cheerleaders for the NYC tech community. Both badasses in their own right.

Festivities include a cocktail/networking reception followed by a few words from friends and supporters including guest of honor Minerva Tantoco and Civic Hall founder Andrew Rasiej. So, join us as we say thank you to all of the incredible women in tech who blazed a trail in the past and toast the future of women in NYC tech!
