What is Ada Lovelace Day?
Ada Lovelace Day on October 9 is an international day of celebration that highlights the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Over the years, this day has served to encourage a new generation of females to pursue careers in STEM and to support women already in the field.
Please join Illumina, Qualcomm, and the Fleet Science Center for some light refreshments, interactive science demos, a Don’t Try This at Home show, and a career panel celebration of women in STEM, in honor of Ada Lovelace Day.
The event is open to all backgrounds and all ages.
6-7 p.m. — Demos, Networking and Light Refreshments.
7-8 p.m. — Women in STEM Career Panel of Distinguished Speakers.
Entrance for this event is at the front of our building through the theater lobby doors, adjacent to the Bea Evenson Fountain.
Please RSVP by October 7, 2019. Space is Limited.
