Ada Lovelace Day 2018 – Siemens Rail Automation

Siemens Rail Automation, Chippenham is organizing an event to celebrate Ada Lovelace Day 2018, which also happens to be Rail Week and Year of Engineering. The event is divided into two parts: a day session (09:30am to 2:00pm) where pupils from schools around Chippenham will be hosted on site and given tours of the manufacturing facilities as well as our Research and Development facilities. There will also be coding stations and Model Railway sets to help the pupils have a hands-on experience of Railway Signalling.

An evening networking session (5:00pm to 7:30pm) is also scheduled, aimed at parents, teachers and children to provide an opportunity for discussions with Siemens staff to gain an understanding of the work Siemens is involved in within the UK. There are also scheduled tours of our Research and Development facilities during the evening session.
