10,000 Hours Montana Launch
26 October 2015 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeWe are launching 10,000 Hours Montana, where we are going to try to connect educators (and not just those in the public K-12 system!) with community mentors and resources to get 10,000 hours of computer programming lessons delivered to K-12 students during Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 7-13, 2015). The event is scheduled in Bozeman on the morning of October 26th at the American Computer Museum (with short press speeches from 9-10 am followed by a CS Mentoring party from 10-noon). During the mentoring party, we’ll try to get women who have undecided majors or who are unhappy in their current majors to consider a major in STEM, and particularly computer science and strategize for the statewide movement. There will be free gourmet Bridger Brewing Pizza!
