What are we doing?
The Tech for Life team invite you to join us in celebrating Ada Lovelace Day on Tuesday October 9th from 4pm – 7pm.
We will have a panel of our very own experts from across the STEAM fields who will be giving us insights into their career journey, challenges and experiences.
- Doors open at 4pm with refreshments
- Panel discussion and ‘fireside chat’ 4.30pm
- Special guest speaker, Emer Maguire. FameLab UK Winner, Science Communicator and Singer Songwriter. She’ll be armed with her guitar to round off the evening with lyrics.
Why are we doing it?
Tuesday 9th October 2018 marks Ada Lovelace Day. Ada is renowned for being the first computer programmer and as such, Ada Lovelace day is a perfect reason to celebrate the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM)
Who should come along?
STEAM opportunities and careers are for EVERYONE. With that being the case this event is open to ALL regardless of age, gender or background. All we ask is that anyone under the age of 16 is accompanied by a parent or guardian.
