Ada Lovelace day 2016 – towards new role models in science and tech
11 October 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeThis is the second time that Ada Lovelace day will be celebrated in Belgrade. After very successful last year event, we decided to make it even bigger this year. Speakers are extraordinary women from science and tech-from students of electrical engineering to PhDs and NASA awards winner. During the event they’ll talk about their choices, education, motivation and challenges they were facing by stepping into field that was’t always so open towards women.
Some of the speakers are:
– Dragana Ilic, astrophysicist and assistant at Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade
– Milana Minja Miloševic, PhD at Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, software engineer with passion for writing and running
– Valerija Spasojevis, in love with robotics, programming and design. Has NASA award and her HLT studio
– Marija Milosevic, third year student of Faculty of Electrical Engineering, android developer that worked on over 20 projects
– Gordana Pejić, MA of electrical engineering, activist and founder of Soft skill academy
Event is free.
