Bristol Tech Fest: Ada Lovelace Day – Inspiring girls and women in STEM
12 October 2022 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Have you ever wondered what a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics could look like? Do these subjects excite you but you are unsure what applications they could have outside the classroom? Or do you think they are boring with no relevance to interesting jobs?
As part of Bristol Tech Festival, join us at Engine Shed for a fireside chat and hear from an inspiring panel of women who have successfully navigated careers in STEM to find out how you can apply these subjects to the real world and carve an exciting path in the world of work and business. There will be an opportunity to ask questions to the panel followed by a networking session with refreshments provided.
This event is open to all, and will be particularly inspiring to young women and girls in secondary education who are interested in pursuing a career in STEM or are unsure which career path they want to take. It would also be suitable for those already studying those subjects at degree level to gain an overview of how they can be applied in the real world.
*Please note under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
