Ada Lovelace Day Live! 2018

Ada Lovelace Day Live! is our annual ‘science cabaret’ in celebration of women in STEM, will be held at The IET on the evening of Tuesday 9 October. Playing host to the UK’s most fabulous women in STEM, ALD Live is an entertaining evening of geekery, comedy and music suitable for everyone over the age of 12.
Our speakers are:
- Prof Sunetra Gupta, epidemiologist
- Chanuki Seresinhe, computer scientist
- Dr Susie Maidment, palaeontologist
- Dr Hilary Costello, engineer
- Prof Emma McCoy, mathematician
- Dr Diva Amon, marine scientist
- Natasha Simons, science demo builder
Once again, we are delighted to say that comedian Helen Arney will be our compère for the evening. You can find out more about all our speakers on our event page.
Lobby doors open at 6.30pm, auditorium doors open at 7.00pm, the performance will begin at 7.30pm and will run until approximately 9.30pm. There will be book stall and book signings prior to the performance, and the bar will be sponsored by Shopify, so come early to make sure you don’t miss out!

Ticket prices are:
- Early Bird: £10, available until midnight, 11 September
- General Entry: £20, available until midnight, 7 October
- Concession: £5, available until midnight, 7 October
- On the door: £25, available until just before the performance starts at 7.30pm
