The Department of Computer Science at University of Copenhagen (DIKU) was established 1970 as the first Danish computer science department. We conduct research and offer study programs on Bachelor, Master and PhD level as well as individual courses and summer courses within Computer Science as well as a number of interdisciplinary study programs.

The Department of Computer Science at University of Copenhagen has more than 1000 student enrolled in our BSc, MSc and PhD study programs. An increasing number is women thanks to a targeted effort towards diversity and a better gender balance. In 2018 we increased the no. of new female students by 50%.
