Escape the Box with shfWIT

8 October @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

If you are a young person (aged 13-19) that identifies as female or non-binary then join Sheffield Women in Tech for an evening of escape box mysteries to celebrate Ada Lovelace Day. This day is an international celebration of women’s achievements in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). During the session you will find out about the roles our members have in tech and how they got there – in fact, you can’t solve some of the puzzles without finding out!

The aim is to foster group working and problem solving skills, and increase the profile and visibility of women in STEM. In doing so, we aim to create new role models who will encourage more girls into STEM careers and support women already working in STEM.

Participants will get an attendance certificate detailing the skills used, and a memento of the evening.

The session is free to attend. Please note that the session is aimed at age 13+ young people identifying as female or non-binary. Parents/carers/teachers are welcome to attend but must get a non-participating adult ticket.
