Celebrating Ada Lovelace: Women in Coding

13 October 2015 @ 12:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

An astonishing woman named Ada Lovelace invented computer coding and revolutionised how machines and humans could work together, yet many people have never heard of her. To celebrate the bicentenary of her birth, we invite UWE students and staff to come along for fun coding activities, tea and biscuits.

  • Program our own Analytical Machine
  • Create fractal art with code
  • First-timer coding games with robots
  • Meet others interested in increasing diversity in STEM
