Ada Lovelace Day

7 October 2015 @ 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm

As part of the Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences’ Celebrating Women in Science week, our Ada Lovelace Day event will feature inspirational talks from Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, space scientist and presenter of The Sky at Night, and from Dr Sarah Barry, lecturer in our Department of Chemistry whose research combines chemistry, microbiology and biochemistry. Professor Paul Walton, of the Department of Chemistry at the University of York and long-time champion of equality in the sciences, will talk about gender equality issues in science. The event will end with a networking and poster session, at which some of our PhD students will present their research.
