Ada Lovelace Day at Hofstra University – October 13, 2016

Dr. Ziqian (Cecilia) Dong, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York Institute of Technology will be our guest speaker during Common Hour, 11:15 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. Hofstra University.  Her presentation will describe her work using sensors to create safe environments for Parkinson’s patients, and explain the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program at NYIT funded by the National Science Foundation.

Students from high schools near Hofstra will be attending the lecture as guests, and learn more about the sponsoring School of Engineering and Applied Science programs in a tour of the school facilities with several demonstrations.
