They will be sharing their stories of how they come to be doing what they are, how they got there, who inspired them along the way and what the future holds for them. Cream Tea with Inspirational Women
On Saturday 5th October at 2.30pm, Porlock will be celebrating International Ada Lovelace Day with a “Cream Tea with Inspirational Women”. Five women, from the worlds of art, travel, film, education and theatre will be sharing their passions, their achievements and their inspirations in an event to mark the birthday of the woman regarded as being the first computer programmer. Cream Tea with Inspirational Women
Ada Lovelace (1815-1852) was a mathematician and writer. She is best known for her work on Charles Babbage’s “Analytical Engine”, recognising that it had applications beyond pure calculation and seeing the full potential of a “computing machine”.
