Ada Lovelace (1815-1852) was a mathematician and writer. She is best known for her work on Charles Babbage’s “Analytical Engine”, recognising that it had applications beyond pure calculation and seeing the full potential of a “computing machine”. Students from schools around Dublin will virtually visit Qualtrics’ EMEA HQ to be offered a glimpse into careers in technology with the objective to motivate and inspire them to consider technology as a potential career path. Every year on Ada Lovelace Day the Women in Robotics organization releases a list of inspiring women in all sorts of roles in robotics, from early stage career (like the Afghanistan Girls Robotics Team) to emeritus professors and OBEs.
