DESCRIPTION:The University of Liverpool Department of Mathematical Sciences is Celebrating Ada Lovelace’s legacy with a hands-on coding session (suitable for Years 10-13) followed by a careers session with professionals from different areas of STEM! \nThe event in a nutshell:  Starts 3pm on Tues 6 October 2020 \n15:00-15:15 – Learn about Ada Lovelace\, the first computer programmer\, with a short presentation\n15:15-16:00- Learn how to code on Python – more info here\n16:00-16:15- Too long sitting down? Let’s have a break! – during this time organisers will still be around to answer any questions\n16:15-17:00 – Careers Carousel: get to know some professionals in STEM and ask them any questions you may have about their professions\, careers or studies \nYou can sign up for one or all the sessions! \nWho is this event for? \nWhile we are particularly keen to inspire female students to take up coding\,  students of all genders in Years 10 to 13\, are very welcome to attend. If you are a teacher you can register your full class for this event. If you are a student please make sure you are participating as part of a school and supervised by your teacher.
