DESCRIPTION:The Dev Picnic is a technical meet-up for the developer community\, giving a platform to some of the most brilliant and inspiring tech talent to show off their skills\, knowledge\, and projects. \nEach event will have a number of short talks from our speakers\, a game or quiz during the break\, and drinks and picnic food on us – since we think we’ve already had enough beer and pizza to last us a lifetime! \nThe organisers of The Dev Picnic attend many inclusive tech meet-ups; but we often see people from minority groups in the tech industry being invited to speak about their experience as a minority\, rather than their experience with tech. The Dev Picnic is a meet-up group for a technical audience to come and learn from speakers from minority groups about a whole host of dev-related topics! \nOur inaugural event will take place in AND Digital’s Covent Garden HQ on the 10th October\, which is Ada Lovelace Day. \nWe hope you’ll join us for what looks to be a great line up! \nSchedule of Events: \n6:00pm – Doors Open \n6:30pm – “What is DNS and how does it work?” with Emma-Ashley Liles\, Software Developer at Skyscanner (@EmmaAshley ) \n6:45pm – “Building Bots for Teams” with Greenie Cheng\, Lead Software Developer at Grant Tree (@greenietea) \n7:00pm – Break and Table Quiz \n7:30pm – Quiz winner prizes \n7:40pm – “Git from the Inside Out” with Mary Rose Cook\, Coach at Maker’s Academy (@maryrosecook) \n8:10pm – Networking and drinks \n9:00pm – You don’t have to go home\, but you can’t stay here. \n  \nThe Dev Picnic is an inclusive event\, and we strive to host a friendly and safe environment for all Dev Picnic attendees.
