DESCRIPTION:Peterborough STEM Festival is celebration of Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Mathematics inspired by Ada Lovelace Day\, a free to attend family-friendly event held in the centre of Peterborough on the 1st October 2017. \nOur mission is to provide a day of fun activities to celebrate and to experience the wonders of science\, technology\, engineering\, and mathematics – a free event to attend\, designed especially for families and young people. \nExciting activities include: \n\nInteractive treasure hunt with prizes\nHands-on science with CHaOS (handy engineering\, prism googles\, IR webcams\, and rocks and fossils)\nMinecraft build challenges\nHistory of computing and women in computing\nRaspberry Pi workshops with PetRasJam\nBecome a coding ninja with some professional developers\nExperience virtual and augmented reality sessions\nDesign and build your own rockets\nRobotics with the students from GPUTC\nForensic science and CSI activities with PRC\nExperience some engineering activities with the RAF and the British Army\nBuild a cloud with our main sponsors Anglian Water\nand much more…\n\nFor more information on venue access\, activities and parking and the most up to date information\, please visit our website: www.peterboroughstemfestival.co.uk. \nPeterborough STEM Festival is organised by Digital People in Peterborough (DPiP) and Allia Future Business Centre.
