DESCRIPTION:October 9th is Ada Lovelace day\, an annual celebration of women’s achievements in the STEM fields – and therefore the perfect day for Royal Holloway’s first WISDOM (Women in the Security Domain and/or Mathematics) event of the academic year! Please join us to celebrate diversity and welcome new and current students\, through a buffet lunch with an introduction to WISDOM at RHUL\, as well as networking and guest speakers. \nThis is a great opportunity to familiarise and get involved with wider diversity efforts across both Royal Holloway’s Information Security and Mathematics group. You will also have the chance to listen to informed speakers discussing gender representation in academia and information security / STEM subjects. Finally\, this is a chance to meet your academic colleagues\, particularly as the new year begins. \nThis is not a female only event – all ISG/ Maths students and academics are welcome!  \nPlease fill out the Eventbrite if you wish to attend and email Amy.Ertan.2017@live.rhul.ac.uk if you have particular dietary requirements or any access concerns.
