DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday 8th October 2019 we at Siemens Rail Automation are opening our doors to all local school pupils and their parents for Rail Week 2019 and Ada Lovelace Day! \nJoin us for a wide range of activities including: manufacturing tours\, product demonstrations\, interactive challenges\, careers workshops and talks from special guests. This is an amazing opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes in railway engineering. \nWe will be running two similar sessions one during the day from 09:30-14:00 featuring our guest speakers and\, a slightly shorter evening session from 17:00-19:30 for any after-school visitors. SUMMARY:Ada Lovelace Day 2018 - Siemens Rail Automation
DESCRIPTION:Siemens Rail Automation\, Chippenham is organizing an event to celebrate Ada Lovelace Day 2018\, which also happens to be Rail Week and Year of Engineering. The event is divided into two parts: a day session (09:30am to 2:00pm) where pupils from schools around Chippenham will be hosted on site and given tours of the manufacturing facilities as well as our Research and Development facilities. There will also be coding stations and Model Railway sets to help the pupils have a hands-on experience of Railway Signalling. \nAn evening networking session (5:00pm to 7:30pm) is also scheduled\, aimed at parents\, teachers and children to provide an opportunity for discussions with Siemens staff to gain an understanding of the work Siemens is involved in within the UK. There are also scheduled tours of our Research and Development facilities during the evening session.
