DESCRIPTION:Ada Lovelace Day comes to Hong Kong!\n\n\n\nOn Ada’s 200th birthday on 10 December 2015\, the annual maths departmental newsletter of the Chinese University of Hong Kong will publish stories and achievements of current and past female mathematics students at the university.\n\n\n«Get the newsletter here.»\n\n\nOne of our organisers\, Cassandra Lee\, will be giving a briefing at Room 222 on the newsletter prior to her maths talk on Morse theory from 2:30pm to 4:30pm local time on Ada Lovelace Day 2015. Cassandra is one of the writers in ALD’s upcoming book More Passion for Science: Journeys into the Unknown and the powerhouse behind the idea for the newsletter.\n\nDon’t miss this newsletter — stay tuned on 10 December 2015.\n\n(Update\, 14 October 2015: The briefing was cancelled as all invited students were unavailable. The seminar proceeded as usual.)\n(Update\, 10 December 2015: The newsletter’s publication has been postponed to late December 2015.)\n(Update\, 19 January 2016: The newsletter is published!
